Music is globally embraced as a source of entertainment,an improvement in the psychological progress in humanity,an element of comfort and as an element of inducing effects on emotions moods and arousals. Music is therefore known to serve many different purposes including improvement of body coordination and movement and a general human relaxation. It has however come to the world’s knowledge that music and its elements have an equal effect on human intelligence especially at the early stages of growth. This research therefore is likely to lay more emphasis on the relationship between music and human intellectual development .More is to be proven through examples and cases which reveal the importance of the impacts of music in human social skills.

Purpose of the research

The research will mainly involve direct interviews of various stakeholders including teachers, parents, guardians, underage children, adults and individuals who are considered to have the first hand interactions with children. The research proposed here focuses on investigating several claims and real life experiences and occurrence of how music has impacted on the lives of under aged children. There would be investigations on the children’s backgrounds and a general seclusion of the participating and the non-participating children. This will help note each and every stage of the changes in the child’s Intellectual quotient, social skills and general academic performance. This is to be carried out through the observation of middle aged and under aged groups in order to come up with a clear measure of the levels ofindividual concentration and psychological functioning. Through a direct communication with the individuals the researchers are likely to note and compare the emotional and verbal intelligence among the parties. The general purpose of this is to come up with effective ways of ensuring proper intellectual growth of infants. There is likely to be some distinguishing factors noted from the interaction with different stakeholders. The differences are the major determinants of the research in question from which thorough analysis and reasonable conclusions are drawn.

Background of the research

The research will be conducted in teams within the mentioned perimeters across the neighborhoods. Each neighborhood has four teams covering both individual homes and the learning institutions. Each team member is responsible for organizing and executing one-on-one interviews with the relevant stakeholders, after which there should be a general discussion with other team members. The team leader should then come up with an overview and analysis of the research findings. Each team leader should be able to contact other team leaders and do a comparison of the findings. Each particular team contains eight team members. All the members are in their late twenties undertaking their masters in various fields. Each team leader is suppose to assign the members on various locations to cover. There should be a reliable timetable for the guidance of each team member in their respective teams. The main focus will be on the interactions of the meetings and the resultant outcomes. Every team can only consider their part done after a thorough comparison with the findings of the other teams.

Scope of the research

This will focus on research questions for identification, appraisal, selection, and synthesis of all the high quality research evidences based on the noted changes either socially, academically verbally or emotionally. It also involves the monitoring of the ongoing research processes and evaluation of the progress. There will be a combination of the findings from different team members of several studies carried out previously in relation to a set of related research hypotheses. In its simplest form it will basically involve the identification of a common measure of effective size of the weighted average in the infant’s performances. It was first ensured that the weighting might be related to the sample sizes within the individual studies. The general aim of the scope is to powerfully estimate the true effect size, correlations and the quasi-experimental studies as opposed to smaller effect size derived in one study under a given single set of conditions and assumptions.

Theoretical framework of the research

Since most researchers pay not much attention to the effects of music on creativity as compared to other types of learning,it would be necessary to study high school music and non-music students. The students should be given creativity tests and their scores monitored keenly overtime. Those who participate and exhibit significant up surge in the levels of creativity and perpetual skills are likely to be a positive evidence to our researchers. The greater the number of music units attended, the greater the individual’s creativity. The development of creative skills is likely to be specifically dependent on the type of musical engagement. It is also theoretically expected that thinking in music assessed change in originality, flexibility, extensiveness and syntax. The improvisation engagements basically supported the development of critical and creative thinking as opposed to the didactic teaching. Presumably music lessons are expected to increase music aptitude. It is also expected that better educated and affluent parents are likely to engage their children in more musical activities.

Methods of research

The first method involves conducting a literature review on the social and personal development of children. The second stage involves the observation of the group for a period of four hours per week for six weeks, focusing mostly on conversations at team meetings and especially those conversations in which the group addresses changes to their work processes and issues of team relationships and identities. The final stage involves the interviewing of team members for clarification and provision of insights into conversations. Through researching on the individual’s social skills, the researcher is likely to cover more aspects including: literacy, perpetual and language skills, educational intelligence, intellectual development, individual creativity, physical development, health and individual well-being. This will be after all the individuals have taken various music lessons and creativity examinations as conducted by the researchers.

Mathematical modeling of the research findings

This section will involve the application of various mathematical models to compute numbers which are likely to have impact on the research at hand. The intellectual development model was a major factor to be considered. A comprehensive though estimated model of musical and academic performance in relation to theoretical growth model which compares the changes in individual creativity with the level of music related activities. A more realistic and commonly used growth model is the logistic function and its applications.

Qualitative analysis of the research

These are alphabetic data collections derived from the sources of the graph or data. In qualitative research, cases can be selected in accordance to whether or not they reflect on contexts or characteristics. Since the researcher’s functions obtain more critical attentions, the possibility of taking a neutral approach may be difficult. Here the nature of the research in question is a major determinant of the outcomes expected. Use of one-on-one interviews with the relevant stakeholders is likely to give more room for analysis of the accuracy of the first hand information as compared to the written tests and creativity interviews. The quality of the questions were thoroughly revised and made of high professionalism making the participants embrace the research questions with more seriousness.

Quantitative analysis of the research

A systematic empirical investigation pertaining the research in question will be conducted in all the homes and learning institutions based on the previous findings and analyses. The total number of music related activities per person as compared with the termly academic and creative performance figures, the time period at which the intellectual growth and development is expected and to what percentage is the increase or decrease in the intellectual development and psychological functionality changes as a result of the number of music lessons attended termly. The whole process will involve ;the generation of models, theories and hypotheses concerning individual verbal, emotional and social changes in the above interviews and examinations, the development of instruments and methods of measurements, for example, carrying out correlations and comparing with the quasi-experimental studies, experimental controls and manipulation of variables which will involve the introduction of other variables such as time factor and intellectual development progress, collection of empirical data, modeling from the legal authorities and various stakeholders in the social sectors, analysis of data and the final evaluation of results.

Research timetable

The timing schedule of the whole research program will be apportioned as follows: preparation of the proposal within the first week, complete literature review within the second week, completion of the creativity research within the third week, complete analysis of the findings within the fourth week, presentation of the final analysis within the fifth week and finally a complete final report should be tabled on the sixth week. The presentation will be in all the available forms of data including visual presentations. The use graphs, tallying, video coverages to make the presentations more interesting and reliable will also be encouraged. This process is to be conducted every term so as to come up with very accurate findings annually.

Merits

It will be my choice not to observe numerous teams, although such comparisons might be vital in order to allow more levels of comprehension regarding the group on which I will lay more emphasis on. In addition, there will be no use of detailed interviews in order to reduce my influence on the team members. Each team will have a direct communication and requests from the head of the research office for transparency.

Demerits

There are various obstacles and barriers that enable the researchers obtain relevant and reliable information within the time period outlined by the above timetable. Time limitations of the studying session require minimum time than may be available for a socio-linguistic study. In most cases there is likely to be a frequent private and professional interference especially in homes, schools and work places. Their presence in the organization for only four hours weekly for one half of a month, there are expected to be elements of management practice, organizational behavior and team communication that will not be revealed during my observations. An outsider may also be limited to what is revealed. The team members are not likely to be very productive in their discussions with my presence, especially in my initial observations.
